Black sleeveless blazer dress with a pleated satin panel

A sleeveless wrap blazer dress in charcoal wool and black satin, winged at the shoulder, knife-pleated down one side and short on the other.

A sleeveless dress built like a blazer: a charcoal wool front with a notch lapel on one side, black satin wrapped across the chest on the other, and shoulders that are cut up and out into two sharp wings instead of straps. The waist is marked by the wrap, not a belt.

From the hip it splits. The wool side is short, box-pleated and finishes above the knee in a point; the satin side is knife-pleated and drops to the shin. Spring and autumn evenings, an opening, a dinner in a room full of paint. A black pointed pump, no tights, and the arms left free for the tattoos to do what they do.

I did not paint it. I looked at it until it felt judged.
