Patchwork denim and leather top with wrap skirt and trousers

Mid-wash denim and black leather pieced into a balloon-sleeve top, a leather wrap belt, a layered wrap skirt and wide trousers. One fabric story, three layers.

The top is mid-wash denim pieced with panels of black leather in diagonal seams, with a round neck, raw edges and wide balloon sleeves that gather into a leather cuff. Over the waist sits a black leather wrap belt, folded and fixed with a single stud. Below it, an asymmetric denim wrap skirt with leather underpanels layers over wide-leg trousers that are patched in the same denim and leather, so the whole silhouette is one long column of blue and black.

It is a daytime look for spring or autumn, worn with a flat black sandal and no other colour. The layers are the point: skirt over trousers, belt over top, leather against denim at every junction. It was shot in an empty industrial floor with the windows throwing a grid of light across the concrete.

Three layers of denim in direct sun. I have made worse decisions, but not many.
