Navy wool jacket with silver panels and a denim cargo skirt
A fitted navy wool jacket with silver metallic panels, a mid-wash denim cargo mini skirt and chunky chelsea boots in an empty warehouse.
A fitted navy wool jacket cut like a short coat, with wide notched lapels, an asymmetric front that closes off-centre, and vertical panels of silver metallic leather set into the body and the lapels so the seams catch the light. Long sleeves, hip-length, worn closed. Below it a mid-wash denim cargo mini skirt with an oversized patch pocket on one hip and a stepped, longer back hem, and black leather chelsea boots on a heavy lug sole.
This is the daytime version of hardware: no buckles, just the shine built into the cloth. It works from the first cold morning of autumn through spring with no tights, and with black opaque tights when the warehouse is colder than it looks. Swap the boots for a loafer and it goes to an office that does not mind denim.
The pocket holds a phone, keys and one glove. I lost the other one in 2024 and have moved on.

styling notes
- Keep the jacket closed; the panels need the lapel line
- Chunky chelsea boot, not a heel
- Opaque black tights once the temperature drops
