Flowers. Embroidered, so they can't die on me. A boned black leather corset over a black tulle skirt, short in front, long behind, stitched with dusty flowers. Platform boots underneath. A thin heel would make it bridal. Bridal is not on my calendar. Wear it to a party, sleeveless.
A boned leather corset over a black tulle skirt embroidered with dusty flowers, cut short in front and long behind. Platform boots keep it on the ground.
The corset is black leather, cup-seamed and boned, with a straight neckline and a clean hem that stops at the natural waist. Underneath it, a black tulle skirt embroidered with muted pink, bronze and green flowers: opaque mini lining, tulle overlay, a high-low hem that clears the knee in front and drops past the calf behind.
The pairing is the point. Leather on top, tulle below, and chunky black leather platform boots so the whole thing reads as a loft afternoon rather than a wedding. Sleeveless, a small hoop, the smartwatch and the bead bracelet; hair straight and long. It works from October to April with a leather blazer thrown over, and in spring on its own.
Embroidery is for people who can stand still. I keep it away from brick walls, mostly.

styling notes
- Keep shoes heavy; a delicate heel makes the skirt bridal
- Sleeveless or a cropped leather blazer, nothing longer
- Hair straight and down, let the embroidery do the work
