Rust linen draped top with a matching wrap midi skirt

The top is rust linen, sleeveless, cut with a cowl that drapes across the chest and a wide sash that folds over the right shoulder and hangs down the back and front like a half cape; it is cropped to the waist and sits just above the skirt. The skirt is the same linen, a wrap that crosses low at the front with a wide self-bound hem on the diagonal, mid-calf, and a short slit where the panels meet.

It is a day look built on one colour and one fabric, which is why it looks expensive and feels like pyjamas. Flat sandals or a pointed flat; no tights; a straw hat if the sun is out. Summer and the warm end of spring, from a late coffee through to the shop closing.

I came for one record. I left with the afternoon.
