A rust bodysuit with a funnel neck and halter armholes, cut close with two curved seams running down the front and a high-cut opening at the side of the waist. The fabric has a slight sheen. Below it, a wrap skirt in natural linen, knotted at the side and open in a high side slit. The linen is loosely woven, almost gauze, and falls to the ankle.

Rust and raw linen are the colours of the ground out here, which makes the whole thing look deliberate. It works for a terrace in the desert in the middle of the day: the skirt moves, the slit lets the air in, and the bodysuit holds its line. Late spring through early autumn. Flat sandals, or a wedge if the floor allows.

I matched the landscape. It did not thank me.
