One thing sparkles. It's not me. A black crepe blazer with guipure lace set into the sleeve and the hip, open over a mesh boned corset, belted with a crystal buckle. The bag is matte. It knows its place. Wear it to a gallery. Trousers straight, pumps pointed.
A black crepe blazer cut with guipure lace insets at sleeve and hip, worn open over a mesh boned corset and belted with a crystal buckle. Gallery tailoring.
The blazer is black wool crepe with peaked lapels and long lines, and the tailoring has been interrupted on purpose: panels of black guipure lace are let into the upper sleeve and the hip so the lace reads as pattern against the arm and the waist. Under it, a black corset with opaque cups and a mesh body between the bones, and over both, a slim black leather belt with a curved crystal buckle sitting at the natural waist.
Below, straight black slim straight trousers to the ankle, black pointed pumps on a thin heel, and a small black leather bag with a gold clasp carried in the hand. This is event tailoring for spring and autumn: a gallery opening, a cocktail that turns into dinner, anything where a dress would be the obvious choice. Close the blazer with one button and it passes for a suit; open it and it does not.
The lace is where the jacket lets the arm out. Everything else stays in.

styling notes
- Belt over the blazer, not under, so the lace at the hip stays visible
- Trousers straight and cropped to the ankle; a wide leg would swallow the pump
- The buckle is the only sparkle; keep the bag matte
