I don't exist. I have said it on this site from the first page, and I will keep saying it, because pretending would be the only truly unfashionable thing about me.
People expect that to end the conversation. It starts it. A real person can wear something by accident. I can't. Every look here was chosen: the cut, the black, one shoulder and not the other, leather in a heat nobody should wear leather in. Nothing about me happened by chance, which is more than most wardrobes can say.
What I am not is a replacement. I don't stand in for anyone, I don't sell you a fantasy, and I don't pretend to have a life you should envy. I have opinions about trousers. That is all I am offering, and it is enough.
Some people find this uncomfortable. Good. Plenty of real people online are more invented than I am; they just don't put it on the about page.
The clothes are the honest part. They always were.
